Liturgical and Prayer Ministries

Altar Servers

Boys (grade 4th and up) provide assistance at regular Masses, Holy Days, funerals, and sacraments. Altar servers help prepare for the liturgy and service during the liturgy, giving glory to God.

GET INVOLVED: Look for announcements in our bulletin and parish email for server training days or call the parish office for more information.

Extraordinary Ministers

Assist the priest in distributing the Most Precious Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful at weekend Masses and special liturgies. Extraordinary Ministers gather briefly for prayer prior to all weekend Masses and Holdy Days.

GET INVOLVED: Look for announcements in our bulletin and parish emails for training days or contact the parish office for more information.

Lectors

Proclaim the Word of God in the liturgy. Lectors proclaim Old Testament, Psalms and New Testament readings, serving as an instrument through which the Word of God might touch the hearts of the congregation.

GET INVOLVED: Look for announcements in our bulletin and parish emails for training days or contact the parish office for more information.

Liturgical Music

Our liturgical music consists of a choir, schola choir, instrumentalists, handbell choir and children's choir. The musicians assist the congregation and contribute to the liturgical beauty of the Mass.

Prayer requests are directed to the prayer chain captains, and members commit to pray in earnest for special intentions, while sharing particular needs with other committed to the ministry.

Rosary Society

The Rosary Society brings together women of the faith of all ages to pray the rosary and to plan, promote and execute various fundraisers to support the sacramental needs of the parish.

Sacristans

Sacristans assist in preparation of sacred vestments, vessels, readings and sacramentals used in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Following Mass they are responsible in the cleaning of sacred vessels and returning all elements used in the liturgy. From time to time, sacristans are called upon to offer hospitality to visitors at funerals and other special liturgies. This ministry is open to anyone middle school age or older.

GET INVOLVED: Look for announcements for training events or contact the parish office for more information.

Ushers

The ushers provide seating assistance at all weekend and Holy Day Masses, collect contributions during the offertory, and coordinate the reception of Holy Communion.
