Merry Christmas

Every year God invites us to visit His Son in the manger. The innocence and purity of the infant child against a dark and cold background captures our imagination. And yet, this is as real as it gets. More than 2,000 years of history does not change the reality that God sent His Son into time on this earth to be Our Savior. We can ignore it at our peril or choose to receive the love He offers.
God gives us this gift not as a memory, but as His True Presence. The Incarnation, God made flesh, is before us in the Eucharist, just as the shepherds saw God in the flesh as a baby boy. The figurine in the nativity scene is merely nice and cute.
However, God physically dwells in the tabernacle of the church and is present on every altar when Mass is celebrated.

St. Monica provides the opportunity to draw close to Jesus at:

Christmas Eve (4:30pm or 10:00pm)

Christmas Day (8:30am or 10:30am)

The Eucharist is the greatest gift we can receive and the greatest gift we can share with others. God waits at the manger at Christmas and at the altar every week of the year. Don’t make Him cry. Accept the love, joy, and peace that only God can fully give.

May you have a most blessed and Merry Christmas with your family and
loved ones.
